Painter, born in Steinsel, Luxembourg, after his education at Luxembourg schools he also studied at the Ecole Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris. During the second world war Edmond Goergen was arrested and sent to the camps Hinzert, Sachsenhausen and Mauthausen.
Continues his art studies in Paris and follows classes in restauration. In 1948 he returns to Luxembourg.
In 1977 he is appointed Conservateur at the Service national des sites et monuments (1977).
